How to configure strategy Rule

The strategy rule is determined by the choosen pricing strategy type.

The following strategy rules ara available for configuration:


Competition - Strategy Rule

Step 1: Add Competitors

You can add competitors in two ways using the “Add Competitors” button:

Option 1: Suggested Competitors

  • Clicking "Add suggested competitors" opens a dialog with a list of suggested competitors tied to your product items added to the current group. This is a list of direct competitors offering identical product items.

  • You can either select entire competitors along with all their product offers, or choose specific product offers within each competitor using checkboxes.

  • Click “Add” to include them in your group.

  • The added competitors will appear in a table where you can choose how to set your item prices.

Note: If you don't see your competitors in the suggested list, you can add them manually.

Option 2: Manual Competitor Entry

  • Clicking "Add competitors manually" opens a dialog for competitors manual input.

  • Click "Add competitor item" button.

  • In the first field, select your product item within current group.

  • In the second field, paste the URL link of competitor product item (offer).

  • Click the “Check” icon to validate the URL.

    • Note that validation process can take up to 2 minutes.

    • A green checkmark indicates successful validation.

  • Once validated, click "Add" to include the competitor item in the group.

To edit the competitor list, use the "Add Competitors" button to add new entries, or use the checkboxes to select competitors or their product items for removal.

Step 2: Set Product Item Prices

Choose a pricing rule based on competitor data:

Item Prices Option

Description

Highest price

Set your product price to the highest among competitors added to the current group

Average price

Use the arithmetic mean of competitor prices

Lowest price

Match the lowest price among competitors added to the current group

You can also fine-tune the final price by adjusting it up or down using a fixed amount (in local currency) or percentage (%).
